Acute & Critical Illn Pract I

Catalog description

This practicum provides supervised clinical experience in managing acute and critical illnesses in adult in adult and older adult populations. Students will apply concepts from Acute and Critical Illness I (Didactic) in an acute clinical setting. 120 in person clinical practicum hours done with an approved preceptor focus on comprehensive assessments, diagnostic interpretation, and implementation of evidence-based interventions in acute care environments. Students will develop proficiency in prioritizing care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety.
