Pediatric Acute Care IIA Practicum (0-0-8) This graduate level nursing course is the third in a series of five practicum courses for those preparing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care. With the guidance and supervision of a preceptor, emphasis is on continued development of advanced clinical skills, exploring evidence- based research and their application to the plan of care for pediatric patients in the acute and chronic intermediate healthcare settings, within the context of family, environment and culture. A minimum of 120 hours of supervised, direct patient care are required to demonstrate comptency.
