This clinical practicum provides Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students with supervised experience in managing acute and complex health conditions in adult and older adult populations. Building on the concepts introduced in Adult and Geriatric Health I (Didactic), students will apply advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based management strategies in real-world acute care settings.60 in-person clinical practicum hrs done with an approved preceptor focus on emphasizing stabilization, prioritization, and safe transitions of care. Students will develop proficiency in performing comprehensive evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and initiating appropriate interventions under the guidance of preceptors.
