RN to BSN Role Transition This focuses on the study of professional nursing. Emphasis is placed on the challenging role of the nurse in contemporary society and the differentiated knowledge and practice expectations of the baccalaureate degree nurse. In addition, there will be scholarly dialogue about the knowledge and skills needed to support patients in health promotion and disease prevention as they strive to reach their optimal level of wellness. Prerequisites: This course is considered the entry course for the RN-BSN program. All University Core and Residency hours are to be completed prior admission to this course. Departmental approval required. Concurrent enrollment allowed with NURS 4303 , NURS 4414 , and/or NURS 4502 .
