NURS 4303 : Nursing Informatics & Technology (3-0) This course provides an overview of nursing informatics as it relates to the provision of safe, quality patient centered care. Emphasis is placed on the establishment and provision of evidence based practice. The use of information management systems in the collection, management and communication of patient data as well as the maintenance of patient privacy and confidentiality is highly stressed. Prerequisites: Departmental approval.
