Music Theory I (3-0) Introduction to diatonic harmony for all music majors, including the elements of pitch and rhythm, major and minor key signatures, and functional harmony. Introduction to the principles of voice leading in species counterpoint as well as four-part harmony using root-position and inverted triads and seventh chords. Corequisite: MUST 1111 .
