Readings in Social Studies

Catalog description

This course strengthens social studies composite majors' knowledge of Texas, American, and world history, government, economics, and geography. Students will lead discussions, create study guides, and design assessments aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). By semester's end, they will compile these materials into a portfolio to prepare for teacher certification exams and careers as social studies instructors.
