Python in Geosciences

Catalog description

This class introduces undergraduate students to coding in python with an emphasis on datasets and covers broad topics ranging from syntax and structure to loop and logic and the implementation of high-level packages. Later portions of the class address specific topics of interest determine by the needs of the graduate students with respect to their theses/dissertations. There is a high work requirement to this class in terms of coding assignments, but students are not expected to have received prior training in python or any other language.
