Teaching Tath in Elementary Classrooms: This course covers the methods and resources for teaching mathematics in the elementary grades. Emphasis is placed on the equity principle (mathematics for all) and the development of conceptual understanding on topics such as number sense, patterns, and basic algebra, geometry and measurement data analysis and probability. Students will design, implement, assess and critique mathematics instruction, with an emphasis on effectively engaging emergent bilingual students (English Language Learners).
