Computational Think for ECED

Catalog description

This course focuses on the development of computational thinking in children Birth to Age 8. It covers inclusive, developmentally appropriate, play-based teaching practices, and the usage of non-digital/digital tools, to support early mathematical/engineering/technology skills (pattern recognition; data sequencing, composition and decomposition; algorithmic thinking; debugging and modeling). Students will gain practice in designing early learning opportunities that support children in using emerging computational thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret the everyday world around them.
