This is a continuation of DANC 3348 Jazz Dance1, building on the skills and knowledge developed in that course. Emphasis will be on refining and mastering dance technique and performance skills. This higher level Jazz dance class focuses on exploring variations in Jazz dance styles, emphasizing more complex technical elements such as body isolation, rhythms, patterns, etc. The goal is to increase the students' technical proficiency with an aware embodiment of the form's histories and developments. DANC 3348 is not a pre-requisite but DANC 4348 requires departmental approval. Jazz; dance.
