Somatics (2-2) A study of somatic systems and practices that help create efficient, responsive, movement based on heightened sensory awareness. The course is appropriate for the performing artist as well as skilled movers from other fields, including athletics. Learning is accomplished in a combined lecture/studio borrowing approaches from Ideokinetics, Alexander, Feldenkrais, Bartenieff, etc.
