The course focuses on the analyses of mobile, cellular, and Wireless Networks (WN) and provides fundamental techniques in architecture, operation, and security of second, third, and fourth generation of wireless LANs. Topics covered include technical foundations and evolution of WN, transmission fundamentals, communication networks, and TCP/IP Suite. The course places a significant emphasis on the design of security-related features within wireless networks. The course includes multiple individual and team laboratory assignments.
