Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Studies

Catalog description

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual, (LGBTQIA+) studies examines foundational queer theory, legal and medical history, and queer cultural productions (film and literature). Students will inquire: How have LGBTQIA+ thinkers contributed to theory and analysis of cultural artifacts and policy? How can their perspectives inform future theory, cultural analysis, and policy?
