Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with knowledge of the field of student affairs, its role and function in college student development, and its fit with the academic program. This course is also intended to provide students with an understanding of the purposes and historical development of student personnel programs, the administrative structure of student affairs division in two and four year colleges, and the institutional units that fulfill the student services function. Students who have taken HIED 5320 may not enroll in HIED 6320 .
