Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course examines hazard response and emergency management strategies in both land-based and marine environments, with a focus on developing leadership skills essential for effective crisis management. Students will learn to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with natural disasters, industrial accidents, chemical spills, and maritime emergencies. Emphasis is placed on regulatory frameworks, safety protocols, and the leadership required to coordinate interagency response through the incident command system.
