This course, Advanced Data Analytics in Accounting, focuses on developing a data analytics mindset and equips students with the skills to apply key concepts of data analytics to real-world accounting challenges. Students will learn how to develop questions, critically approach data, apply analytical techniques, and communicate results. Students will also leverage software tools to interpret large datasets in the context of auditing, financial reporting, managerial accounting, and other accounting topics. Ethical considerations, data governance, and the implications of utilizing generative AI in data analytics will also be explored, preparing students to adapt to evolving technologies in accounting.
