Catalog description

This course centers on the principles and practices of differentiation to meet the needs of all learners in today’s classrooms. Teacher candidates will explore strategies to support students across a wide range of abilities and learning needs. Topics include differentiated lesson planning, classroom environment, and effective communication with students, families, and communities. The course emphasizes responsive teaching that fosters meaningful learning for every student. A field-based experience is required. Prerequisites: SED 300 with a minimum grade of C. Minimum GPA of 2.65, Department Approval, and field based experience required.
