Literacy Assessment & Intervention for Dyslexia, and Other Language-Based Learning Differences

Catalog description

This course addresses how to plan and implement evidence-based and appropriate assessments and interventions for K-12 students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences and difficulties. The course explores the learning characteristics of these students and is designed to equip educators and literacy specialists with knowledge of specific supports, scaffolds, and curricula needed to provide targeted intervention. This course also examines common screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring instruments and explores state and federal requirements for serving and identifying students with dyslexia.
