Word Analysis & Word Study in the Science of Reading: From Phonology to Morphology

Catalog description

This course examines the English phonological system used in reading and writing. The focus of this course is an examination of the competencies and TEKS related to word analysis skills of all learners. Specific attention is given to phonics, phonemic awareness, the strategies useful to readers and writers in the development and assessment of word knowledge and word analysis. Prerequisites: Departmental Approval Required and Requires admission to the Educator Preparation Program.
