Introduction to Human Cognition

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of cognitive psychology. We will investigate topics of perception, attention, consciousness, memory, imagery, knowledge representation, language, problem solving, decision making, and other selected aspects. Emphasis also will be placed on the relationship between mental processes and the brain. In addition, students will learn to appreciate the scientific methods that are developed to investigate these topics. Prerequisites: PSY 2301 or PSY 131.
