Catalog description

A study of how to manage professional and technical communication effectively through developing and employing critical thinking skills related to traditional professional and technical communication genres and scenarios. Focus is on developing understandings of interface, information, and multimodal design, user experience (UX), and practicing writing skills that enhance marketability and success in the professional workplace. Secondary emphasis includes analysis of and practice in writing resumes and cover letters, and developing lists of professional and technical communication resources relevant to their professional goals. Prerequisites: ENG 1302 with a minimum grade of C.
