Catalog description

This course provides foundational knowledge and practical strategies for effective teaching in EC–6 classrooms. Emphasis is placed on instructional design, classroom organization, and the application of developmentally appropriate teaching models across core content areas. Topics include classroom management techniques, curriculum and lesson planning, communication skills that support student learning, and guidance related to teacher certification. Students will explore how to create engaging and well-structured learning experiences that meet a variety of learner needs. Prerequisites: Departmental Approval Required and Requires admission to the Educator Preparation Program.
