Catalog description

This course introduces foundational principles of pedagogy, effective lesson planning, and instructional strategies that support a wide range of learner needs. Students will examine the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) framework, with a focus on aligning curriculum standards with instructional objectives and assessments. The course emphasizes thoughtful planning that considers multiple learning contexts and promotes responsive, student-centered teaching practices. Prerequisites: " EDCI 1301 Min Grade C or ELED 1301 Min Grade C" and Requires admission to the Educator Preparation Program.
