Catalog description
This course introduces students to the principles and practices of DevOps, integrating software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) to enhance collaboration, automation, and deployment efficiency. Topics include continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, containerization, monitoring, security in DevOps, and cloud-based deployment strategies. The course combines theoretical foundations with hands-on experience in automating software delivery pipelines, improving system reliability, and optimizing workflows for AI and software applications. Students will work on real-world projects, applying DevOps methodologies to streamline development and deployment processes in computing and AI environments. Prerequisites: COSC 2336 with a minimum grade of C.
