Catalog description
Computer algebra systems will be introduced. Topics include methods for approximate solutions of equations in one variable, polynomial approximation methods, numerical calculus, splines and accuracy acceleration, linear systems of equations and finite differences. Prerequisites: MATH 2414 with a minimum grade of C or concurrent enrollment in MATH 2414 and COSC 1436 with a minimum grade of C.
