Catalog description

This course functions to re-focus each student’s independent studio practice, in order to demonstrate a deepening commitment and responsibility to creative expression, as linked to individual curiosity, self-organization, and contextual positioning. Students prepare presentations of works-in-progress, towards assembling and editing their work for the MFA capstone exhibition. Students share their methods and methodological findings—what they have learned in decoding the social, cultural, political, historic and psychological imprints and how they employ the subject matter, form, and content of their ongoing practice in relation to these contexts. Permission of instructor required.
