Catalog description

Required in the first semester, the course lays the foundation for professional nursing practice. This course provides an introduction to the roles, philosophy, and theoretical foundations of professional nursing. Students examine the historical and contemporary development of nursing, the influence of personal and cultural values, and the use of critical thinking. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1302 or 2311 and admission into the nursing program.<br/>
