Yearlong Residency I

Catalog description

This yearlong clinical teaching residency is an intensive, immersive experience designed to prepare teacher candidates for effective, equitable, and responsive teaching. Candidates will engage in sustained co-teaching with experienced mentor teachers in diverse classroom settings, applying pedagogical theory to practice while developing competencies in planning, instruction, assessment, and classroom management. Emphasis is placed on culturally responsive teaching, differentiated instruction, data-informed decision-making, and fostering inclusive learning environments that promote success for all students. This is part one of a two part residency. May be repeated. Prerequisite(s): Field experience fee - $75.<br/>
