Catalog description

This course introduces the students to the professional functioning of licensed professional counselors, including history of the profession, roles, professional organizations, standards, ethics, licensing, credentialing, and accreditation. The course provides an overview of counseling services in a variety of settings. Students begin to explore their personal philosophy of counseling. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the CMHC program.<br/>
