Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for governmental and nonprofit organizations. It explores essential financial practices and addresses the unique regulatory, compliance, and reporting standards of the public and nonprofit sectors. Through practical applications and interactive exercises, students develop expertise in fund accounting, budget management, and financial statement preparation. This hands-on approach equips students with the skills needed to effectively manage and oversee the financial operations of public and nonprofit entities, preparing them for impactful careers in these vital sectors. Prerequisite(s): ACCT 3303 or permission of department chair.<br/>
