Catalog description

This course examines interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks for understanding and addressing intimate partner violence across relationship contexts, including psychological and sociological models, as well as prevention and intervention practices. The course emphasizes professional practice approaches, ethical considerations, and evidence-informed strategies for working with individuals and families affected by intimate partner violence. This course is also offered at the Master's level as SOCW 5314 . Students who receive credit for this course in the undergraduate program may not repeat the course at the Master's level.
