Catalog description

An exploratory course that considers the impact of design decisions on the environment. Principles of sustainable design are reviewed including theoretical frameworks, concepts, certifications and standards of practice. Environmental stewardship and ethics are introduced as a model for professional practice. Concepts of adaptive re-use, historic preservation, and restoration are introduced. Prerequisites: Credit or concurrent enrollment in INTD 4456 , INTD 4366 and INTD 4365 . Senior standing in the program. Minimum 2.8 GPAs both cumulative and within the major required.
