Catalog description

This course explores the role of human factors and ergonomics in improving safety, health, and operational performance. Students will learn how human capabilities and limitations influence the design of systems, tasks, and environments, and how these principles can prevent incidents and injuries. Topics cover physical, cognitive, and organizational ergonomics, safety culture, human error analysis, and human systems integration, with applications in industry, transportation, healthcare, defense, and energy sectors.
