Catalog description

This course introduces undergraduate engineering students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The curriculum emphasizes practical engineering applications, alongside critical discussions on ethics and societal responsibility. Students will gain exposure to the foundational mechanisms of AI, its various types and limitations, as well as crucial aspects of transparency, privacy, and system reliability. Throughout the course, we will explore examples of AI deployment across different engineering sectors and analyze its implications for design, production, and everyday practice. Prerequisite: MATH 1426 .
