Topics include: analysis of signals and systems, Fourier and Z transforms, digital filter design techniques (FIR and IIR), autoregressive (AR) and autoregressive moving average (ARMA) modeling. Applications to science and engineering include: financial predictions and processing of digital music. Laboratory work includes some programming and use of high quality library routines and packages such as Mathematica, Matlab.
