Catalog description
This course explores the linguistic structure and features of American Sign Language (ASL). Students will study the phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics of ASL. Variation, code-switching, historical change, language contact signing, and related phenomena will also be examined. Prerequisites: ASL 2314 with a grade of C or better, or concurrent enrollment in ASL 2314 .
