SOCIAL WORK GENERALIST PRACTICUM INSTRUCTION/SEMINAR PART 1.

Catalog description

Students will complete a minimum of 200 clock hours in a supervised practicum. Students will gain social work experience in an agency that will integrate generalist social work practice concepts into professional social work experience. Students will follow the NASW Code of Ethics and work with an anti-oppressive lens while in their practicum. Additionally, students will spend two hours a week in a seminar course to reflect and integrate social work knowledge, theory, and skills learned over the course of the program that they are applying in their practicum. Prerequisite: SOCW 5100 , SOCW 5301 , SOCW 5304 , SOCW 5306 ; Co-requisite: SOCW 5307 .
