Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of social work theoretical perspectives, models, and programs for intervention with children and their families in school settings. This includes skills in assessment, prevention, and intervention in providing services to students across a range of backgrounds and experiences. Students will learn to apply intervention skills across multiple levels of the ecosystems perspective in schools. This course is also offered at the master's level as SOCW 5370 . Students who receive credit for 4370 in the undergraduate program may not repeat the course at the master's level. Co-requisite: SOCW 5311 . Please note if the co-requisite is dropped, this course will be dropped also.
