Catalog description

This course equips students with advanced analytical and policy practice skills to evaluate social policies shaping health, mental health, aging, and child and youth service systems. Students examine how policies affect access, quality, and outcomes across populations and practice settings. Emphasis is placed on applying evidence-informed policy analysis frameworks to assess governmental, nonprofit, and private sector systems. Students further develop professional policy skills, including legislative analysis, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement. Prerequisites: Direct Practice (DP) Plan Code.
