Catalog description

Examines generalist community and administrative practice roles, including historical and contextual factors that influence community conditions and service delivery. The course emphasizes assessment of community assets and needs, application of evidence-based practice, and engagement strategies across varied populations and settings, including global contexts. Attention is given to professional roles, participation, and effective practice within community systems. Prerequisites: SOCW 1231 OR SOCW 3300 , SOCW 2361 , SOCW 3304 or SOCW 3305 , SOCW 3307 , and MATH 1308 or SOCW 2325 or other equivalent statistics course approved by the Director of Undergraduate Programs.
