Catalog description
This course introduces students to advanced mechanics of composites at various scales, including analysis and characterization methods. Emphasis is on advanced methods for material characterization; nonlinear constitutive relations; structural and microstructural analysis; and advanced materials and structures applications. Offered as AE 6315 and ME 6315 . Credit will be granted only once. Prerequisites: AE 5315 , ME 5315 , or instructor consent.
