Catalog description

The course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in statistics, including communication and appropriate use of technology. Topics include the study of numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; problem-solving; algebraic expressions and equations; and an introduction to statistical reasoning related to data sets. Credit in this course does not fulfill any degree requirements. This is a corequisite course and requires continuous concurrent enrollment with the appropriately paired college-level math course. Prerequisites: Prerequisite: An appropriate assessment test score. TSI MATH score of at least 940. Corequisites: MATH 1308 .
