Catalog description
This course is intended to provide laboratory credit in freshman chemistry for students who transfer into UT-Arlington with credit for General Chemistry lecture only. Experiments include: thermodynamics, electrochemistry, synthesis, quantitative analysis, spectroscopy, stoichiometry, and acid-base chemistry. Students may register for this course only with specific approval of a Chemistry advisor. Prerequisites: CHEM 1188 and 6 hours of General Chemistry II lecture. Credit cannot be earned for both CHEM 1442 and CHEM 1189 . Additionally, students must have a grade C or better in MATH 1302 or MATH 1402 or ALEKS of 61 or higher.
