This seminar examines the recent history, theoretical foundations, and contemporary applications of artificial intelligence in architecture, with particular emphasis on machine learning methods and their integration into design processes. Through readings, guest lectures, critical discussions, and hands-on computational experiments, students explore how AI informs and transforms architectural knowledge, design agency, and performance-driven processes, with a focus on advancing ecological and sustainable design objectives.
