Architecture and the Environment II examines ecological design as a trans-scalar practice, connecting global sustainability frameworks with local architectural interventions. Students engage with systems thinking, urban infrastructure, circular economy, and participatory approaches to address climate resilience through both mitigation and adaptation. The course develops skills in life-cycle thinking, passive and active environmental strategies, and design performance evaluation, supported by case studies, critical readings, and discussions, alongside design-based inquiries. Prerequisite: ARCH 5375 Corequisite: ARCH 5694 .
