Credits 3. 3 Other Hours. COURSE OVERVIEW. This capstone course for majors is an inquiry-based study of topics in women’s and gender studies. The course uses theories, analytic approaches and feminist and other methods in women’s and gender studies to investigate a topic of social and cultural significance. TOPICS. Topics will vary depending on the expertise of the instructor. The course includes development of research and writing skills such as forming research questions, practicing research methods and drafting and revising research-based writing. Instructors teaching this class will choose texts, assessments and approaches that represent current scholarship, instructor expertise, and satisfy course learning objectives. Prerequisites: WGST 200 and junior or senior classification; or approval of instructor.
