Introduction to veterinary immunology; mechanisms of resistance of infectious diseases and tumors; tissue injury caused by the immune system, including hypersensitivity reactions and autoimmunity; immunization theory and practices; immunologic methods for diagnosis of disease. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the first year of professional curriculum.
