Credits 0 to 10. 0 to 10 Other Hours. 2- or 4-week elective; in-depth experience in the field of surgical oncology, especially upper gastrointestinal malignancies; involvement in the preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative care of the patient; better understanding of the significance of multimodality treatment regimens in the therapy of cancer. Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of year three of the medical school curriculum.
