Building on skills gained during third-year Surgery Clerkship, provides immersive surgical experience, students function at intern level, expanded responsibilities in pre-operative care, post-operative care, operating room procedures, critical care management, rotations include acute trauma, surgical oncology, general surgery, emphasizes hands-on patient care, includes fluid and electrolyte management, intensive care unit experience. Prerequisite: Doctor of Medicine classification.
